Lady Bears down Cambridge 10-1

WARSAW – The River View Lady Bears asserted their will over Cambridge on their way to an easy 10-1 victory.

River View opened up scoring in the first inning, when Alyssa Thomas singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

The Lady Bears then scored five runs in the second inning. River View’s offense in the inning came from singles by Mikala Ehlinger and Mikensi Ehlinger and a double by Thomas.

Peyton Werntz was in the circle for River View. She went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out five and walking zero.

River View racked up 11 hits on the day. EhlingerKelsie WilliamsonEhlinger, and Thomas all managed multiple hits for River View. The Lady Bears also were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Melanie Giffin had the most chances in the field with five.
