Larry Goodman

WALHONDING – Larry “Bud” Ringwalt Goodman, 64, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 15, 2018 after a brief illness, at Licking Memorial Hospital in Newark.

He was born Feb. 25, 1954 in Mt. Vernon to the late Lawrence E. and Lorene (Ringwalt) Goodman. He was a life-long dairy farmer with a true heart for the land, which was all he’s ever known he wanted to do since he started as a little boy. He enjoyed working on vehicles, whether it was cars, tractors, or anything with a motor. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He loved God above all, and was a member of the Community Christian Fellowship in Gambier.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 38 years, Cheryl (Klein) Goodman of Walhonding, whom he married June 8, 1980. Also: Buddy Goodman (Stephanie Keith) of Mt. Vernon, Jeremy (Amanda) Goodman of Warsaw, and Stephanie (David) Moore of Warsaw; two step-children, Victor (Mary) Strain of Warsaw, and Chuck Strain (Tonya Momburg) of Hebron; grandchildren, Mason, Rylan, Maria, Brianna, Teanna, Logan, Raven, Kelsie, and Kyra; a great-grandchild, Paysen; three sisters, Nancy & Sara Goodman, and Elizabeth Lutwick, all of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Kayla.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, with Pastors Bob Pelfrey & Sharon Kirch officiating. Burial will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Calling hours are from 11:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
