Linda M. Broderick

| July 9, 2018

Linda M. Broderick passed away unexpectedly on May 24, 2018 in Columbus.  She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Freda Herking of Cincinnati and her former husband, Chris Broderick, of Coshocton.  Linda is survived by her daughter, Katie (Marc) Antonchak of Powell, Ohio and her son, Andy (Lindsay) Broderick of Upper Arlington, Ohio.  She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Jonah, Rose, and Nora Antonchak and Lily and Evie Broderick.

Linda was born in Cincinnati and was a graduate of Thomas Moore College.  Her life was dedicated to children as she helped literally hundreds of little ones get a good start in life.  She was instrumental in starting the Montessori Preschool in Coshocton.  In the mid-eighties she was approached to start a preschool at Sacred Heart School and was director until 2003.  At that time she moved to Columbus to be closer to her kids and grandkids who meant the world to her.  However, she didn’t forget about preschoolers as she took charge of Trinity Preschool at St. Margaret of Cortona in Hilliard.  Linda felt incredibly fortunate to have met so many awesome families through her years as a teacher and remained close to many former students and their parents.

Linda is remembered as a kind-hearted, loyal friend who was so much fun to be around.  She was very involved in Coshocton and was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need.  She was a great listener, which is a skill very few people possess.  She was also willing to stand up for others and believed in doing the “right” thing.

Linda will be deeply missed by her family and friends in Coshocton, Columbus, and Cincinnati and especially by Paula, Jill and Barb.
