Linda Overholt

| December 11, 2020

Linda Overholt, 68, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 6, 2020, after a long and challenging series of health issues faced with her usual spirit, spunk and courage. She was born July 10, 1952, in Coshocton to the late Delmar and Ruth Casey.

Happily married 35 years to Brent Overholt, who survives, Linda enjoyed her life as a self-described “domestic goddess.” She retired from an earlier career in retail sales and management, including work with the M. O’Neil Company in Coshocton and later Shaw Barton. This past March, both Linda and Brent lost his mother, Carma, at age 99.

Linda especially loved people, travel, cats, gardening and good food. She was very active on Facebook, making long-lasting friends throughout the country. Linda was highly supportive of her Facebook friends and enjoyed actively sharing their joys and mutual love of life. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. After graduating from Coshocton High School in 1970, she graduated with an Associate’s Degree from Kent State University, with additional studies at Central Ohio Technical College.

Linda is survived by her husband, Brent Overholt of Coshocton and her brother, Terry (Penny) Casey of Columbus, cousins in Nebraska and Virginia, a nephew and two grand-nephews in Virginia; and four Goddaughters.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, Dec. 11, 2020, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery at 2 p.m. with Pastor Bryan Kittner officiating. Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family. The family welcomes anyone wanting to attend the graveside service and requests everyone to social distance and wear a face mask at all times. A Celebration of Linda’s Life will be held at a later date.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made in Linda’s name to the Coshocton County Animal Shelter, 21755 TR 164, Morgan Run Road, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.

The family would like to give a special thank you to everyone who helped and supported Linda and Brent over these last several months.
