Local Bounty update

| December 4, 2014

Good Morning

We hope you all had a bountiful Thanksgiving and are staying safe during the 2014 deer season.  We have a wide array of Christmas gifts in the bounty now, come check them out!  Today and tomorrow 10-6, Sat. 9-1.

Did you know

A freshly cut tree can consume a gallon of water in the first 24 hours.  For those of you with trees up already, make sure to water daily! almanac.com

Flying Pig Farm

Sample Roasted Pumpkin Bread and pick up some for a quick snack. We’ll also have Sandwich Buns and a couple loaves of bread. Check out our affordable gift packages. Dry rub mixes and hickory chips pair well with any of the meats at Local Bounty. Bread Mix and Jam, Bread Mix and Soup or our Rice Mix Samplers are nourishing and will warm you up. A trio of jams comes packaged with serving suggestions on the tag. Hoping to restock Red Raspberry Jam by next week! Thank you for shopping local!

Happy deer season, we are thankful for the 2 deer Ben got this season.  It was my first year hunting and I did not see a thing, although Ben got his second deer in my spot 🙂 It will keep us fed all year!  This week at the bounty I will have delicious French Boule, hard crust, soft crumb, super YUM!  I also have my tea blends available and will be stocking more tomorrow, try my new Winter Chai.  Don’t forget a Hillbippie Sippie for all your fav beverages 🙂

Mullet Apiaries

We have gift packages available from now until Xmas. Two of them include a small jar of maple sugar made from the sap of our very own maple trees! If you have a request for a custom gift pack, you can email us at [email protected]. If we can honor your request, we can arrange for you to pick it up at the Local Bounty. As always, we are grateful for our customers and fellow Local Bounty vendors. Happy holidays!

Strawberry Hill Farm

We hope you had a happy Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. This week we’re bringing lots of kale, which you’ll find in the cooler, and a few eggs. (We’re sorry we can’t bring more, but we can’t keep up with the demand!) Mary has baked more buttery-rich shortbread this week. It’s a great take-along for holiday parties at the office. Or serve it when having tea with a friend. Shortbread makes a good hostess gift, too
