Local restaurant signature recipe featured in new book

COSHOCTON – Coshocton’s own Warehouse Steak n’ Stein is featured in a new book, “Recipes from Ohio’s Must Places to Eat” by Chillicothe native, Dr. Karen Patterson. Published by the Acclaimed Press, the book was released in early April and is available across the region and in national outlets as well.

Featured restaurants and recipes from across the state went through an extensive review before being included. The Warehouse Steak n’ Stein was first referred to the author by the local Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau. Restaurant owners and managers generously shared their best recipes with Patterson so readers can make the dishes at home and compare their creations with the originals.

The restaurants are grouped into six geographic regions of Ohio as well as by city, so that no matter where readers may be in Ohio, they can always find a proven destination for great food. With the diversified eating preferences of most Americans, there is an eatery and recipe that will serve the perfect dish to match each specific taste.

Patterson earned a degree in communications from Marquette University before joining the National Safety Council in Chicago as an assistant editor. She lately completed her Master’s Degree in Fine Arts at Spalding University, specializing in creative non-fiction writing, and has begun working on her doctorate in adult education. She has been recognized through a number of awards for the hundreds of articles that she has penned and the many books that she has either contributed to or authored. On her life’s journey, Patterson has traveled and tasted some of the finest food in the world in Israel, Africa, Nicaragua, and the Caribbean, and written about her experiences in travel guides and articles. As a result, “Recipes from Ohio’s Must Places to Eat” was a natural assignment for her.
