‘Lucy’ Lucille M. Jacobs

COSHOCTON – “Lucy” Lucille M. Jacobs passed away on January 19, 2018. Born May 24, 1923, she was raised on a farm near New Bedford, Ohio the daughter of the late John N. and Emma Schweikert Lorenz. She graduated in 1941 from Baltic High School. On December 13, 1950 she married the late Robert L. Jacobs.

During World War II she was a Riveter at the Goodyear Aircraft in Millersburg, Ohio. For 29 years she was employed at the Edmont Division of Becton, Dickinson & Co. in the Industrial Relations Office last serving as Benefits and Employment Administrator, retiring in 1988.

Predeceased are three brothers and their wives, Arthur &Helen Lorenz, Edward & Edna Lorenz, Leroy & Mary Ellen Lorenz; sister-n-law Arleen Lorenz; brother-n-law Dr. Earl Turner; two sisters, Marie & Catherine; two nephews, Glen Dale and Brian Lorenz.

Surviving are four brothers, Jay Lorenz, Glenn (Erma) Lorenz of Coshocton, Paul (Sandra) of Sugarcreek, Charles (Shirley) of Massilon; one sister, Clara Turner of Canton; 23 nieces and nephews; and a dear cousin Ruth Ann (Carl) Brenly.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton, Ohio with Rev. Bryan Kittner officiating. Burial will be at Franklin Cemetery. Calling hours are 6-8 P.M. Tuesday and one hour prior to service on Wednesday.
