Mae Louise (Phillips) Keefer

KeeferCOSHOCTON- Mae Louise (Phillips) Keefer, 88, of Main St., passed away Tuesday Dec. 3, 2013 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville surrounded by her family.

She was born July 7, 1925 in Tiverton to the late Joseph Edward and Iva Mae (Cly) Phillips.  She married Thomas J. Keefer of May 4, 1946, who preceded her in death on May 22, 2001.  She was a former employee of the Warehouse Restaurant and Kno-Ho-Co, but above all else she was a devoted homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved to read and was known for writing poetry.  She was a member of Mohawk Methodist Church and Nellie United Methodist Church.  She will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends.

She is survived by her daughters; Cherri (Dennis) Hart and Diane (Steve) Hart of Warsaw, Linda Endsley of Coshocton, Marsha Keefer of Nashport, and Lori Keefer of Coshocton, two step-daughters; Mary (Harlan) Phillips of Coshocton, and Sara June (Robert) Phillips of Tuscarawas, grandchildren; Todd (Lori) Hart, Shawn (Sonya) Hart, Tonya (Shane) Zornes, Shane (Leah) Hart, Leslie (Sam) Wright, Shanda Keefer, and Michael Rearic II, step-grandchildren; Donna (Dave) Hughes, Steve (Myra) Phillips, Sharon (Dale) Frizzell, Shirley (Loren) Reichman, Deanna (Jim) Humphries, Kathy (Rick) Perry, Debbie Daugherty, and William (Kim) Daugherty II, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, a sister, Sylvia Irwin of Dover, three brothers; William Phillips of Dothan, AL, Harlan Phillips of Coshocton, and Robert Phillips of Tuscarawas, a daughter-in-law, Versie Keefer of Elk City, OK, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Keefer, a step-daughter, Jean (William Harvey) Daugherty, three brothers; Alva, Charles and Harold Phillips, and a sister, Lucille Hart.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Sharon Kirch officiating.  Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery.  Calling hours are from 4-6 p.m. Friday Dec. 6th at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
