Marching bands go to state

Ridgewood High School

The Ridgewood High School and River View High School marching bands competed at the state band competition.

Ridgewood performed Oct. 27, at Hilliard Bradley High School, where it earned a superior rating. It was Ridgewood’s 23rd consecutive year going to state finals and its 11th consecutive year to get a superior rating. Out of the 23 years, Ridgewood has earned four excellent ratings and 19 superior ratings at state finals.

River View High School competed the first weekend in November. They earned an excellent rating and were one rating away from receiving a superior. This is the band’s second year in a row going to state and before that they went for 28 straight years.
