Margaret May Collins

COSHOCTON – Margaret “Peggy” May (Severance) Collins, 92, of Coshocton, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2018.

Peggy was born in Cambridge on November 29, 1925 to the late Frank and Florence (Goodwill) Severance. For over 20 years, she worked for Pretty Products. She also worked for Experience Works. She volunteered her time as a foster grandmother for Head Start and in the dietary sections of the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital and the Senior Center. In 1956 Peggy married Major R. Collins, who preceded her in death in 1980. Peggy loved having yard sales in her free time. She was also very family oriented and loved spending time with her family.

Peggy is survived by her son, Frank Cole (Brenda) Collins, stepson, Freeman (Patricia) Collins, granddaughter, Tara (Danny) Huynh, several step-grandchildren, great-granddaughter, Sophie Louise Huynh, and three sisters: Mary Lou (Charles) Babcock, Betty Cox, and Carol (Gary) Wilkinson.

Along with her parents and husband, Peggy is preceded in death by her brother, Donald Severance, and stepsons, Richard and Jerry Collins.

Calling hours for Peggy will be held at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be at the funeral home on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 1 p.m. with Evangelist Lloyd Tenney officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
