Marjorie Lucille Davis

Marjorie Lucille Davis, 89, of West Lafayette, died at 1:20 pm Thursday, December 27, 2012, at the Lafayette Pointe Nursing & Rehab Center in West Lafayette, OH.

Born May 4, 1923, in West Burlington, she was the daughter of Homer and Gertrude Green Edwards. On March 29, 1942, she married Howard Earl Davis in Burlington. He died September 14, 1990.

Marjorie had retired from Winegard Co. in Burlington, IA.

She was a 1941 graduate of Burlington High School. 

She enjoyed reading, stitchery, playing computer games, gardening, and cooking for her family. 

Survivors include one daughter, Sandra “Sandi” (Victor) Champagne of West Lafayette, OH; one daughter-in-law, Janis Davis of Burlington; five grandchildren, Lisa (Joe) Scott, Jason (Peggy) Champagne, Randy (Jacque) Davis, Jeanette (Randy) Pass, and Patrick (Brandi) Davis; ten great-grandchildren, Paige (Adam) Hanshaw, Sam Scott, Alex and Lilly Champagne, Dodge, Monet, and Shelby Miller, and Caitlin, Macayla, and Seth Davis; one brother, Don (Nancy) Edwards, Ft. Madison; three sisters, Betty (Richard) Mason of Avondale, FL, Shirley Carpenter, Washington, IA, and Sharon (Fred) Leeper of North Dakota; one niece, Janice (Larry) Gerdom of Burlington; one nephew, Kenneth (Jeannie) Davis of Burlington; and one cousin, Paul (Loretta) Green.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, one son, David, and one great-great-grandson, Riley Aiden Caulfield.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM Monday, December 31, 2012 at Thielen Funeral Home, Iowa.

The funeral service for Mrs. Davis will be 10:00 AM Monday, December 31, 2012, at Thielen Funeral Home with Pastor JudyAnn Morse officiating.  Burial will be in Harris Cemetery.
