Mary Ellen (Leindecker) Wyler

Mary Ellen (Leindecker) Wyler, 81, of Fresno went home to be with her Lord and Savior on September 2, 2015, at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.

Born in White Eyes Township, Coshocton County on November 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Myron and Cora (Zimmerman) Leindecker.

Mary was a 1951 graduate of Fresno High School and she also graduated from the Coshocton Business School. She worked for 19 years as a secretary for Western-Southern Life Insurance Company followed by 11 years at the former JII in Coshocton. Mary was an active member of Fresno Bible Church, singing in the choir and playing the piano and organ. She enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of her family.

On April 12, 1963 she married her loving husband of 52 years , Samuel Wyler. Along with her husband, Mary is survived by her two children, Brent (Peggy) Wyler of Coshocton and Catherine Wyler of Greensboro, North Carolina; grandchildren Andrew and Abigail; a sister Maxine Geese of Fresno; brother Larry (Sally) Leindecker of Coshocton; sister-in-law Helen Leindecker; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a brother Garry Leindecker and a brother-in-law Thomas Geese.

A celebration of Mary’s life will take place at Fresno Bible Church on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating.  Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. on Saturday at the church.  Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in Fresno, Ohio with a meal at the church to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fresno Bible Church, TMM Ministries or Hospice of Coshocton.
