Mary ‘Jenny’ Virginia Vernon

Mary “Jenny” Virginia Vernon, 92, of Coshocton passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2021, at Windsorwood Place. She was born in Mt. Perry, Ohio on Aug. 6, 1929 to the late Jesse and Jessie (Kirkbride) Flynn.

Jenny attended the Roscoe United Methodist Church and was a Pink Lady for 11 years. She had previously worked for Essex Wire in Zanesville for 13 years. She enjoyed Sewing, quilting, embroidery, reading, word searches, and going on walks. She liked to keep her hands and mind busy.

Jenny is survived by her husband of 59 years, Lawrence Vernon; children, Linda (Mark) Mirise of Coshocton and Robin (Angie) Vernon of Lacrosse, IN; grandchildren, Joshua, Natalie, and Ashley Vernon and Kimberly and Kasey Croup; and sisters, Katheryn Yost and Laretha Chambers.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Willard Flynn; and sister, Edna Coble.

Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Monday, Oct. 25, from 10-11 a.m. with funeral services beginning at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bob Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow at Lull Cemetery, Adamsville, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be directed toward the Roscoe United Methodist Church; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
