Mayor Mercer to speak at luncheon

COSHOCTON – Mayor Steve Mercer will be the speaker at the Wednesday, March 22 Coshocton County Lenten Luncheon.

The lunches began on March 1 and the theme for this year is “God’s Call to the Workplace.”

The luncheons, co-sponsored by the Coshocton Ministerial Fellowship, the River View Ministerial Association and the Ridgewood Ministerial Association, are held on Wednesdays during Lent at 11:45 a.m. in the fellowship hall of The Presbyterian Church in Coshocton. A soup and dessert lunch is prepared by the people of the county churches under the direction of Sue Carlisle. A donation of $5 is asked to cover some costs with the remainder given to Church Women United for their children’s clothing program.

The schedule of speakers included: March 1 – Joy Snyder, speaker and Rev. Dairel Kaiser, presenter; March 8 – Mark Fortune, speaker and Rev. Dale Sutton, presenter; March 15 – Matt Colvin, speaker and Pastor Chad Olinger, presenter; March 22 – Mayor Steve Mercer, speaker and Rev. Rod Uhlig, presenter; March 29 – Trish Wilson, speaker and pastor Dail Parrish, presenter; April 5 – Cathy Hudson, speaker and Rev. Jeremy Roseberry, presenter.
