Melba Roberts PictureMelba J. Roberts, 83 of Coshocton passed away at Kindred of Coshocton on Sunday January 13, 2013. 

Melba was born on August 13, 1929 to the late Orb and Emma (Neiss) Schlarb in Chili. She began working at Indianapolis Glove Company then started working at Edmont Wilson in Coshocton and retired from Ansell Edmont in 1991. 

Melba was a past member of the Coshocton Eagles and V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed her time volunteering at Hopewell Industries Grandparent Foster Program and was an avid bowler in her earlier years. 

She is survived by her daughter Vickie (Tim) Bachman of Coshocton; sister Viola Zinkon of Coshocton; brother Kenneth Schlarb of Coshocton; granddaughter Erin (Robert Emge) Bachman of Lewis Center; several nieces and nephews. 

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her two brothers Carl and Richard Schlarb. 

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Wednesday January 16, 2013 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Steve Young officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
