Mildred L. “Millie”Funk
Mildred Louise “Millie” Funk, 85, of Coshocton passed away surrounded by her family at 4:55 A.M., Saturday, July 6, 2013, at the Coshocton Health and Rehabilitation Center in Coshocton.
Born October 17, 1927 in Coshocton, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Madeline (Everhart) Spellman.
Millie was a graduate of Coshocton High School and had been employed for over 30 years as a nurse’s aid at the former West Lafayette Care Center. After retiring, she had been connected with Green Thumb, working for several Coshocton agencies.
Millie enjoyed reading her Bible and going to church. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, flowers, and her dog Zackery was a best friend.
She truly will be missed by her husband Edward Ross Funk, along with a daughter Terri Jean (Terry Lee) Mencer and a son Dewey Winegar all of West Lafayette, eight grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, a brother Richard (Mary Jane) Spellman of Newark, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.
In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by a son Timothy Winegar, granddaughter baby girl Roof, brother Francis Spellman, Jr., and sister Betty Brenneman.
Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the Free Funeral Home, Coshocton with Steve Young, Minister officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, prior to the funeral service. Interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
