COSHOCTON – More than 50 employers will be on site during Ohio Means Jobs Coshocton County’s upcoming employment expo.

“Every one of them is hiring,” said Sherri Gibson, business liaison with Ohio Means Jobs Coshocton County. “If they aren’t doing it right now they are planning on doing it in the next few months.”

The expo will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, at Lake Park Pavilion. The majority of the business attending are located in Coshocton County and those that are outside county lines are still nearby.

“Job seekers need to come ready to meet human resources personnel,” Gibson said. “Some will be interviewing and making offers on the spot. Bring several resumes with you and come dressed for an interview.”

She also encouraged people to not be disappointed if they don’t walk away with a job offer.

“A lot of times you may hear back from someone months down the road,” Gibson said. “You can meet people here and make a connection with them that they’ll remember when a job opens later.”

Each job seeker will be handed a resource guide and a map showing where the employers are located at in the pavilion.

“Study that map and pick five or six that you really want to meet with,” Gibson said. “You can’t expect to meet with everyone.”

When approaching the tables, she recommends you remember the acronym SHE, which stands for smile, handshake, and eye contact.

“Let it go from there,” Gibson said. “Everyone will be nervous.”

Businesses planning on attending the expo include: Action Total Staffing, AK Steel, Altercare, Annin Flagmakers, Auria Solutions, 5B’s, Inc.; Buckeye Brine, Central Ohio Technical College, Clary Gardens, College Park, Inc., Coshocton Brake and Supply, Coshocton Regional Medical Center, C-TEC, Adult Education, Echoing Hills Community Living of Central Ohio, EZ Payroll & Staffing (Express Packaging), Fanatics, FedEx Freight, G4S, Gemini Corp, Horizons, Inc., Indiana/Kentucky/Ohio Regional Council of Carpenters, Interim Healthcare, ITM Marketing, J&R Door, LLC, Kimble Company, Kraft Heinz, Mancan, McWane, MFM Building Products, MPW Industrial Water, Muskingum University, ODJFS Childcare Provider, ODOT District 11, ODOT District 5, Ohio Fabrication Company, Inc., Papa John’s, Pearl Valley Cheese, PNC, PSI Industrial Solutions, Inc., RHDD, Signature Healthcare of Coshocton, Sperry & Rice, LLC, Surge Staffing, Thayer Power & Communication Line Construction Co., The Stark County Vet Center, THK Manufacturing of America, U.S. Census Bureau, UPS, Wal-Mart #1937, and WTNS AM/FM.
