COSHOCTON – The Johnson Humrickhouse Museum will collaborate with the Coshocton KOA Sunflower Festival by providing two activities at the festivities on Aug.17 and 18, with three daily sessions at 1 p.m., 2 p.m., and 3 p.m. Museum director Jennifer Bush will offer family paint classes at the festival. The 30-minute art sessions are geared for children and adults of all ages and the theme will be a sunflower. Price for the paint class is included with the regular Sunflower Festival admission.

In addition to the paint classes, the Friends of the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum will be hosting a beer garden, featuring Wooly Pig Farm Brewery Beer for purchase. Times for the beer garden are 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Vendors and food trucks will also be available.

Sunflower paintings created at the museum’s previous Family Paint Night will be on display at the festival for visitors to view and then cast their vote on their favorite. Proceeds will go towards the museum’s educational fund. Winners will receive a prize.

The Museum Paint Class and Beer Garden at the Sunflower Festival are sponsored by the Friends of the Museum. For more information on the festival, please visit: www.coshoctonsunflowerfestival.com.
