Muskingum Valley College Application Campaign going on

| November 19, 2014

COSHOCTON – Many local high schools, including Coshocton High School, are participating in the Muskingum Valley College Application Campaign sponsored by Scholarship Central, the Muskingum Valley Educational Service Center and area higher education institutions during Nov. 10-25.

As part of Ohio’s college access initiative, the local schools will work with their seniors Nov. 10-25, to complete and submit at least one college application.

The goal of the program is to get more students applying to Ohio colleges early in their senior year. During this event, students may apply to any of Ohio’s numerous community colleges, independent colleges and public and private universities in which they are interested.

All seniors are expected to participate in the Muskingum Valley College Application Campaign at Coshocton High School with the help of school staff, administration, college reps and other community volunteers.

This initiative is part of the American College Application Campaign (ACAC), a national initiative that is an effort of the American Council on Education. In 2013, ACAC campaigns took place in 39 states and the District of Columbia. The goal is for all states to hold college application events in 2014.
