COSHOCTON – Muskingum Valley Health Center (MVHC) and Coshocton Regional Medical Center (CRMC) are excited to announce upcoming plans to enhance primary care services for the residents of Coshocton County. MVHC and CRMC are collaboratively working together to ensure patients in Coshocton County have access to adequate primary care services. To meet this goal, sufficient office space is needed to provide the best patient experience.

In order to meet their additional office space needs to care for its patients, MVHC recently purchased the medical office building previously owned by FPC Development, LLC located at 440 Browns Lane, Coshocton. The building currently houses the medical practice of CRMC Family Physicians. MVHC and CRMC are strategically working together on a relocation plan for both its providers and practices. With this plan, MVHC will move its adult health service line to the 440 Browns Lane property and CRMC will move its Family Physicians practice to the 311 Medical Office Building located at 311 South 15th Street on the hospital campus.

The practice relocations for both MVHC and CRMC Family Physicians provide both organizations the opportunity to reorganize space to best serve the residents of Coshocton County.

“This facility purchase will help MVHC expand services as well as enhance the overall MVHC patient experience,” said Dan Atkinson, MVHC CEO. “With our Coshocton office space increasing in size, MVHC is expecting to serve an additional 2,000-4,000 patients over the next two years.”

“MVHC and CRMC are closely working together to make the practice moves as seamless as possible,” said Stephanie Conn, CRMC CEO. “We anticipate MVHC’s purchase of the Browns Lane property will cause little to no interruption to patient care during the relocation of the Family Physicians practice to the hospital campus.”

Because of the great working relationship between MVHC and CRMC, both CEOs expressed the importance of the partnership between their organizations and anticipate a smooth transition. “CRMC has always valued its partnership with MVHC to serve the healthcare needs of Coshocton County and we are excited to support MVHC in this real estate transaction,” said Conn.

With this change in primary care services in Coshocton County, Dr. Douglas Virostko will be joining MVHC at the beginning of 2019 when MVHC transitions to 440 Browns Lane.

“As a long-standing provider in the Coshocton community, MVHC is very excited to have Dr. Virostko join the MVHC team and continue our mission to provide quality, affordable healthcare to all Coshocton County residents,” said Atkinson.

All other current CRMC Family Physician providers will move to the 311 Medical Building on the hospital campus.

MVHC and CRMC anticipate these changes will go into effect by the new year, with patients being seen in their new locations on Jan. 2, 2019. Patients affected by the practice relocations will also receive additional information from their respective provider’s office via mail. If you have any questions regarding these changes, please call MVHC at 740-295-3331 or Coshocton Regional Medical Center at 740-623-4138.
