MVL releases soccer awards

The Muskingum Valley League released awards for the boys and girls varsity soccer season.

River View High School was first in the MVL big school division for varsity boys soccer. Laired Williamson was the defensive player of the year. He also was co-player of the year. Co-coach of the year was River View’s Vince Andrews.

Big School All-MVL First Team included River View’s Williamson, Hayden Walters, Parker Andrews, and Cael Summers. Layton Massie was on the second team and Chase Wright received honorable mention.

Coshocton finished third in the MVL Small School Division. Their goalkeeper Kabe Bylaw was named goalkeeper of the year.

The small school All-MVL First Team included Coshocton’s Bylaw. The second team honors went to Coshocton’s Parker Loomis, JJ Herman, and Colton Mathias. Honorable mention went to Coshocton’s Logan Lahna.

For the girls MVL Big School division River View’s Kylie Miller was named offensive player of the year. She also earned first team honors along with Audrey Border. Second team honors were given to  Alyssa Fox, and Elaina Brenly.

In the small school division Coshocton’s Zoey Tumblin was named the offensive player of the year. Defensive player of the year was Coshocton’s Sophia Skelton, who also was co-player of the year. Coshocton’s coach Kimmie Underwood was the coach of the year.

Small school first team honors went to Skelton, Tumblin, Addie Underwood, and Gabriella Wesney. Second team honors went to Ashley Bryant and Ava Hall.

Coshocton’s girls were first in the small school division and River View’s was fourth in the big school division.
