Nadine R. Olson

NEWCOMERSTOWN- Nadine Rose Olson, 78, of Riverside Dr., died Friday, June 19, 2015 at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia.

She was born July 22, 1936 in Coshocton Co. to the late Bernard and Mollie (Landis) Hughes.  She farmed for many years with her husband, enjoyed gardening, canning and freezing, and was an awesome cook.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, James Olson of Newcomerstown, whom she married Feb. 4, 1962, seven siblings; Betty Jean (Ronald) Olson of Mt. Vernon, Bernard (Mary) Hughes of Walhonding, Margaret Willey of Brownsville, Joann Moore of Mt. Vernon, Larry (Mary) Hughes of Fallsburg, Nancy Steurer of Walhonding, and Susie (Bob) Elliot of Newcomerstown, as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Eddie Hughes, and a sister, Darlene Hughes.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, with Donald Hague officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Memorial Gardens.  Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.  www.fischerfuenralhome.com
