New Bedford Days will be held Monday through Saturday, June 8-13, as a way for merchants to say thank you to the community.
Merchant sales will be held throughout the week and Friday and Saturday, June 12-13 will be the main days for food and fun. A benefit volleyball tournament for Paul E. Yoder and Roy Kline starts at 6 p.m. Friday, June 12. There is no age limit for participants. The pony parade, sponsored by Baltic Bank, will begin at 8 a.m. and be followed by the consignment auction at 9 a.m. at New Fab on the hill behind the feed mill. There will be a benefit bake sale starting at 7 a.m. on both Friday and Saturday. Friday’s proceeds will benefit Vernon Weaver and Saturday’s will go to Myron W. Yoder. Each merchant is giving away different prizes. Customers receive one ticket for coming into the store and one additional ticket for every $50 spent. All merchant tickets are combined for the grand prize drawing of $500. Second and third prize winners will receive $250 each.
A pony and Bosch Mixer benefit raffle also will assist Paul Yoder and Roy Kline. Tickets are $1 each or six for $5. The drawing will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 13, at New Fab.
Vehicle parking is at Schlabach Wood with additional space behind the building. There are hitching rails at New Fab and Daniel Lee Troyer’s field.
