A ribbon cutting was held for the new nail salon in Coshocton, Simply Beautiful Nails, 406 S. 2nd St., on Tuesday, March 13.

COSHOCTON – A new nail salon, Simply Beautiful Nails, opened in Coshocton on March 5 and had a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, March 13, introducing them to the community as a new business and a new chamber member.

“We’re excited to have a brand new nail salon in Coshocton and all the independent contractors,” said Amy Stockdale, executive director of the chamber of commerce. “Congratulations, Jennifer. We are happy to have you as a chamber member.”

The new salon offers a variety of nail services and continues to strive to better their skills through training and advanced education.

“The nicest part about this salon is that we take our time,” said owner Jennifer Crawford. “We don’t rush you. You’re truly getting a service. We take our time with each client ensuring a great nail experience and offering the freshest styles and ideas.”

After the ribbon cutting, guests were invited to tour the salon, which has been decorated in soft pastel pink curtains, and clean, comfortable nail stations.

“Our motto is clean, classy, and a little bit of sassy,” said Crawford. “I always said I would get into the beauty industry. My mom actually had brain cancer and when she got brain cancer, she grew the most beautiful nails, so I started doing her nails. My mom had 10 children and she always said that 10 was her favorite number. It’s funny because everything about the salon, the number 10 keeps coming up, so I know my mother is with me.”

At each nail station, they have installed a Healthy Air Nail Source Capture System which captures and filters 85 percent of nail dust, making it a healthier environment for the nail tech and the clients.

Simply Beautiful Nails is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. They are closed on Wednesdays and are open Saturday by appointment. Call 740-722-9256 for an appointment.
