Norma J. Burris

COSHOCTON – Norma June Burris, 76, of 20th St., died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born June 5, 1937 in Nashville to the late Gifford and Daisy Viola (Wymer) Gard.

She was a former home health aide, but above everything she was a devout Christian and mother.  She enjoyed reading, listening to Christian music, word search puzzles, and spending time with her family as a servant of God.

She is survived by three daughters; Cindy S. (Paul) Hardesty of Coshocton, Christy M. (Greg) Gallagher of Sunbury, and Audrey D. (Robert McClain) Burris of Coshocton,   a son, Michael Burris of Warsaw, eight grandchildren; Andrew, Abbey, Timothy, Ashley, Samantha, Robert Allen, Sarah, Amy, and Chance, seven great-grandchildren, a brother, Gary (Janice) Gard of Wooster, two sisters; Ellen Kaufman of Loudonville, and Lena McDougal of Wooster, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clarence Glenn Burris, a brother, Herman Gard, and three sisters; Shirley Beale, Mary Hendrickson, and Helen Poland.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Ron Davis officiating.  Burial will follow in Blissfield Cemetery.  Visitation is one hour prior to service time.  www.fischerfuneralhome.com
