COSHOCTON – On Nov. 15, the county commissioners met with Tammi Rogers, Coshocton County Recycling Program Manager & Education Specialist to sign a proclamation establishing Nov. 15, 2017 as America Recycles Day in Coshocton County and to raise awareness of the economic and environmental benefits of recycling.

In the United States, more than 258 million tons of municipal solid waste is generated and only 89 million tons are sent to recycling. Recycling not only benefits the environment but also the economy by providing paid jobs to people in the community.

They accept newspaper, cardboard, steel cans, aluminum cans, and plastic bottles 1-7, but no plastic bags, Styrofoam or clamshells. They cannot take any type of glass.

  • A motion to hire Ian Thomas Linch as a social service worker 2 – ongoing children services effective Dec. 4 as requested by Daniel Brenneman, DJFS director
