One vehicle accident reported in Virginia Township

On Feb. 21, 2021 the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office received a phone call in reference to a possible accident with injury in the 41000 block of County Road 296 in Virginia Township.

Dispatch was advised that a single vehicle was in a ditch just off the roadway. Upon arrival on scene, it was determined that a 2009 Honda Civic was traveling south on County Road 296 when the driver lost control of the vehicle going off the left side of the roadway striking a culvert. The vehicle then went airborne before coming to a rest in the ditch along the road.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Ryan J. Frew (26) of Conesville, Ohio. Frew was treated and released while on scene by emergency squad. Alcohol is considered to be a factor in this crash.

Assisting the sheriff’s office on scene was Dresden EMS, Coshocton County EMS, Conesville Fire Department, and Prince’s Wrecker Service.
