Patty Guthrie PictureCOSHOCTON – Ora A. “Patty” Guthrie, 77, of Coshocton passed away at the Morrison House Hospice in Zanesville on Friday March 3, 2017.

Patty was born in Ravenswood, West Virginia to the late Jasper and Gay Beatrice (Parsons) Hackney on May 31, 1939.

She was a homemaker throughout her life, in her early years she worked at Sycks Bakery in Coshocton and the Coshocton Bowling Alley.  Patty was a member of the Coshocton Elks Lodge, loved spending time with her family and friends, reading, doing puzzles, traveling and bowling.

She is survived by her three children Tim (Sheryl) Guthrie, Carl (Carol) Guthrie and Tammy Jo (Jim) Huntington all of Coshocton; five grandchildren Timothy Todd Guthrie II., Angela Guthrie, Carlin Huntington, Justin F. (Sara) Huntington and Kameron McFarland; nine great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; two sisters Geraldine Holpe of Dresden and Willmagene “Jean: (Ed) Pollock of Coshocton; one brother Glenville “Glen” (Lois) Hackney of Cooperdale; numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, Patty is preceded in death by her husband Carlos E. Guthrie, Carlos passed away in 1993; one granddaughter Amanda Lea Guthrie; a brother Hubert Hackney; two sisters Hazeline and Loren Whited.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday March 6, 2017 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  Funeral services for Patty will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jonathan T. Carlisle officiating.  Interment will follow in Prairie Chapel Cemetery.
