A grandchild raised by a grandparent in Ohio is eligible for $216 per month in Medicaid funds and for Kinship Care assistance. A grandparent can chose between $100 – $600 a month in cash assistance or services including child care for up to $1200 a year. The grandparents need official custody to receive assistance.
