Paula Cheney

Paula Cheney, 66, of West Lafayette passed away on Tuesday, August 11th, 2020. She was born in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Wilma and James Stewert on July 6th, 1954.

Paula graduated from Ridgewood High School in the class of 1972 and spent most of her working-life at Chase Bank as a teller and assistant manager. She loved to craft in her spare time but she would occasionally travel up to Amish country and sell what she had made. Paula loved her garden and flowers in general but especially roses. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in West Lafayette and enjoyed singing in the choir and playing piano. She was a chipper, warm hearted person who always had a smile and a desire to help others. Paula deeply loved her family but especially her grandkids and her dog, Spade.

Paula is survived by her husband of almost 40 years, Tim; children Shannon Donley, Nick Donley, Tim Cheney and Sara Cheney; grandkids Zachary Donley, Carter Donley, Kaleah Dreher, Dylan Donley and Raven Hogan; brother Shawn Stewert and her beloved pet Spade.

Along with her parents, Paula is preceded in death by her brother Jim Stewert and her grandson Cole Eckley.

Friends and family may call to The First Baptist Church, 688 E Main St, West Lafayette, OH 43845 on Monday, August 17th, 2020 from 5:00pm-7:00pm. A funeral service will be held the following day, Tuesday, August 18th at 11:00am with Pastor Randy Mullins officiating and a burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the First Baptist Church of West Lafayette. Due to Covid-19, we are requiring visitors coming to the church to wear their own face masks and we will be limiting the number of attendees inside the building.
