Ray Masters Paper PictureRaymond H. Masters, 85, of Coshocton passed away at his daughter’s residence on Thursday May 8, 2014.

Ray was born in Tuscarawas County, Ohio on March 24, 1929 to the late  Harry and Irene (Lawrence) Masters. He had worked at Belden Brick in Sugarcreek, enjoyed fishing and spending time outdoors. In the last few years he loved going on car rides with his daughter Gail.

He is survived by his two sons Richard L. Masters of West Lafayette and Gary (Karen Countryman) Masters of Coshocton; two daughters Gail Hardesty of Coshocton and Judy Kay Masters of West Lafayette; three grandchildren Raycene (Randy) Mullet, Ryan Masters and Kelli Corbin; five great grandchildren Kaeley and Morgan Arnold, Tiara, Christin and Haili Masters; four sisters Anna McKnight of Columbus, Shirley Carter of Johnstown, Opal (Randy) Hampton of Plain City and Maxine Hamilin of Baltic; one brother Glen (Ruby) Masters of Fresno; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Norma Masters who he married March 7, 1953, Norma passed away on March 3, 2005; two brothers Ervin Masters and Roger D. Masters.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday May 13, 2014 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM where funeral services will begin at 2:00 PM with Pastor Starkey Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow in Fairfield Cemetery, West Lafayette.  Memorial contributions may be directed to Shepherds Christian Assembly Church, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
