FRESNO – Celebration in the Country returns to Renner’s St. Paul United Church of Christ near Fresno on June 27. The public is invited and encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the outside event that will feature the performances of Jonathan White of Canton and Servants Heart of the Holmes County area. The free concert will be on the lawn beside the church that overlooks the rolling hills of Tuscarawas and Coshocton counties.

White has a professional music career and has sung in front of audiences from the very large to the small. His goal, according to White, is to “encourage Christians in their walk with God.” He says his style is country/southern gospel – or – “a little bit of everything”.

Servants Heart is a quartet that sings “country gospel” and consists of lead singer and electric acoustic guitarist Floyd Mullet, vocalist Wilma Mullet, vocalist Jan Hochestetler on the box drum, and base guitarist Sanford Hartman.

Music starts at 7 p.m. Food will be available from 6 – 7 p.m. and includes grilled hot dogs, sloppy joes, coney dogs, drinks, snacks and cookies. Donations are appreciated. Some chairs will be provided, along with corn hole and badminton/volleyball game set-ups for use by all.

To reach the church from Baltic, travel south on State Route 93 for four miles, turning left onto Coshocton county road 88 (look for church sign), and then right onto Renner Road for about a mile to the church. From State Route 36, take Coshocton County 93 north about 6.5 miles to the church.

In case of inclement weather, events will be moved indoors.
