COSHOCTON – The executive director position at Kids America combines two of Paige Lane’s favorite things – business and sports.

Lane took on the role full time March 13 and is happy to be back home.

“I had a great opportunity and a fantastic job in Pittsburgh, but it just wasn’t for me,” she said. “I think I had to move away though to realize I wanted to come back.”

Lane golfed at Ridgewood High School where she graduated from in 2013 and is a 2016 graduate of Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania. Her undergraduate degree is in business management with a minor in marketing and she also has an MBA with a concentration in applied business.

“I knew this position fit me well, but I also realized it was a higher up one,” Lane said. “I had high hopes going into the interview and was very excited when they offered me the position. I’m really enjoying it. I like to manage. I worked at River Greens and worked my way up there. I like business and working with the public.”

She looks forward to promoting Kids America and the many programs it offers plus working with the organization’s board and the great staff she already has.

“There is a lot of potential here,” Lane said. “I also think there are opportunities to pick up new activities and change things up a little bit.”

She shared that they already have a great soccer program and their shorties basketball league doubled in numbers.

“Our two activities directors are really doing a good job and have different activities that they specialize in,” Lane said.

“We want to grow our membership and the week of Easter, April 10-17 we are having a membership special (discount) that is bigger than normal,” Lane said.

Several different types of membership are offered, but you also can purchase passes and pay a $6 one day admission fee to enjoy Kids America.
