COSHOCTON – Century National Bank’s new office was filled with supporters who came out to celebrate the bank’s grand opening on Dec. 15.

“We have 130 banking centers and Coshocton County is one of our best, which is outstanding,” said Century President and CEO Patrick Nash. “The community supports us and has allowed us to earn its trust and business. This is a great new building and a great day.”

Century National Bank is headquartered in Zanesville and has 18 offices across seven counties and is one of the 11 Ohio community banks in the Park National Family of Community Banks. Locally, they now have an office in the Downtowner Plaza and the brand new one, which officially opened on Dec. 8 on North Third Street.

Mayor Steve Mercer was happy to work with bank officials to make their Coshocton North location happen.

“This was a fun project to be part of and we thank them for selecting Coshocton to make this investment,” he said. “We are so grateful to have a bank in this location.”

In addition to bank and city officials and many community members, Tim Ross, district director for Congressman Bob Gibbs, also attended the ribbon cutting and presented Porteus with a proclamation.

“Congratulations on what you have done here,” Ross said. “No one made you be here. It was your choice and that was much appreciated.”

Century’s new Coshocton North office is located at 229 N. Third Street and will offer all aspects of personal and business banking, including deposit accounts, loans, cash management services, and trust and investment services. The new office also features a multiple lane drive-thru and drive-up ATM, offices for private conversations with customers, and ample parking.

“We figured it up and realized we have more than 160 years of banking experience in this one office,” said Century Vice President Rebecca Porteus.

Office Hours are: Downtowner Plaza: Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., Saturday: 8 a.m. – 1 p.m.; Coshocton North: Monday – Thursday: 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., Friday: 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.

“We’ve had tremendous growth and wanted to give our customers a more convenient location with easy access and great parking,” Porteus said.
