Ridgewood golf hosting fundraiser
Ridgewood Golf Boosters is sponsoring the 26th annual Rick and Bernie Fisher Memorial Golf Scramble on Saturday, June 14 at River Greens Golf Course in West Lafayette. The cost is $260 for a four player team which includes green fees, cart and dinner. The 18 hole scramble will begin at 1 p.m. with a shotgun start.
The Rick and Bernie Fisher Memorial Golf Scramble is an annual fundraising event benefiting the Ridgewood Golf Boosters. In 2000, the high school’s annual golf scramble was renamed as a tribute to the late Rick Fisher, a Ridgewood varsity golfer, local businessman and active Ridgewood Golf Booster who dedicated many hours to planning the event. In 2009, the event was renamed to also honor Rick’s late wife, Bernie Fisher, who generously supported the local community through her personal and business endeavors. Proceeds from the event provide funding for the Ridgewood golf team’s equipment, green fees and travel expenses during the season.
