Ronald Craig Cummings

Ronald Craig Cummings, 62, of Coshocton, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022. He was born in Coshocton on March 2, 1959, to the late Paul and Marla (Jones) Cummings.

Ron graduated from Coshocton High School in 1977 and worked at the Coshocton Theater, the Warehouse, and Pretty Products. His family described him as a “jack of all trades.” Ron was passionate about art and entered his work in the fair for many years and earned several ribbons. Ron loved children and enjoyed working at Vacation Bible School and teaching children how to draw. He was a puppeteer at the Church of Christ and Coshocton Head Start, and really enjoyed the Apple Butter Festival.

Ron is survived by his sister, Paula Cummings; niece, Deidre (Taylor) Schulmeister; and uncle, Larry Layman. He is also survived by several cousins.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Carla McVay.

Per his wishes, a cremation will take place. Services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Ron’s name to the Church of Christ, 1800 Chestnut St., Coshocton, OH 43812, or to the Coshocton County Artists Collective, 1030 Chestnut St., Coshocton, OH 43812.
