RVHS hosts Black Bear Swimming Invite

COSHOCTON – The 13th annual Black Bear Swimming Invitational took place Dec. 14. Area swimmer had awesome results. The Dover boys and girls swept first place titles, and the The Lady Bears finished third overall and Coshocton placed Fifth. For the Boys, Coshocton finished second to Dover and the Bears took fifth.

Medals were awarded for first through third place finishers. For River View medal winners included Lydia Els, Brendan Dickson, Nate Cooper and Samantha Douglass individually and the girls medley relay of Els, KJ Smailes, Shawna Shroyer and Douglass, and the 200 free relay of Els, Douglass, Shroyer and Kenzie Hudson. The boys 200 free relay of Dickson, Cooper, Andy Smith and Jonathon Helmick.  CHS individual medallists were Cody McVay, Bryce Philabaum, Patrick Brouse, Emily Casey, Brian Rogers, and Georgia Brown. For their relays girls 200 medley of Jacqueline Roman, Brown, Casey and Jenny Simpson, and boys 200 medley relay of Philabaum, Rogers, Brouse and McVay and the 400 free relay of Philabaum, Rogers, McVay and Talon Babcock.
