RVHS swimmers do well at Nov. 25 meet

COSHOCTON – Swimmers from Coshocton, River View and Orrville battled against each other Nov. 25.

River View showed well against Coshocton in both team’s openers. Combined girls and boys Coshocton defeated River View 112 to 72 and River View defeated Orville 75 to 72. For the boys, River View lost 31 to 59 and defeated Orrville 51 to 2. For the girls River View lost to Orrville 24 to 70 and fell to Coshocton 41 to 53.

Lydia Els broke two records in the opener, the 200 meter IM in a time of 2:40.53. This was a 13 year old record.  She broke her own record in the 100 meter backstroke in a time of 1:11.60.

The boys 200 meter free relay won in a time of 1:55.66 made up of Hammond, Wine, Stamper and Dickson.  Dalton Hammond also won the boys 100 meter breaststroke 1:26.46.
