RVHS track teams compete in Zanesville

WARSAW – The RVHS Black Bear Track and Field team participated in the 2017 Wayne Clark Invitational Track Meet at Zanesville High School on March 30.

The meet was stopped early due to thunderstorms in the area, but not before the Black Bears scored in numerous events while competing against seven other teams including Cambridge, Dover, Licking Valley and Zanesville.

Highlights for the girl’s team include second and third place finishes in the 100 meter dash by Cassidi Bookless and Alicia Lonsinger, respectively and a second place finish in the high jump by Brooklyn Douglass.

Highlights for the boy’s team include a second place finish in the 100 meter dash by Grant Gunn, a second place finish for the 4×200 meter relay team of Isaiah Cameron, Nick Gunn, Grant Gunn, and R.J. Hammond, and a second place finish for the 4×800 meter relay team of Isaiah Cameron, R.J. Hammond, Lane Beatty and Michael Hardesty.
