Senior center royalty crowned

senior king and queenCOSHOCTON – For the second year in a row royalty was crowned during Senior Day on May 19 at the Coshocton County Career Center. Finalists for the king were Cliff Hill, Jim Lucas and Preston Palmer and queen finalists were Christine Cornish, Barb Moore and Grace Pope. The king title went to Palmer and the queen title to Cornish. “This is unbelievable,” Palmer said. “I really thought it was going to be Jim.” Cornish also was surprised and overwhelmed by the honor. I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them.
