Senior center shares update on policies

| March 17, 2020

The Coshocton County Senior Center is concerned about the COVID-19 outbreak and is making every effort to follow federal, state, and local guidelines. The senior center is instituting the following policies to be reviewed daily and subject to change, until further notice.

Home delivered meals will continue to be provided. If you would like to receive home delivered meals temporarily, call the center at 740-622-4852 to access your eligibility.

There will be limited admission to the senior center building located at 201 Browns Lane. Call 740-622-4852 before coming to the center for any questions, concerns or needs you may have. Staff will attempt to help you over the phone first.

Sit down meals will not be served at the center. They are canceled until further notice.

To go meals will be available for any senior who calls and reserves one and there is a soup or salad available to go. All items will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Call 740-622-4852 for information on receiving these meals and how to pick up. These options are available for those who need a meal but may not require a home delivered meal.

If you are sick, cancel your meal delivery or your to go meal to help prevent the spread of illness.

Restricting access to these services is never an easy decision. The senior center is evaluating the situation on a daily basis and will update the community on policies and availability as often as possible.
