Sheriff’s office makes drug bust

Dale R. SmithCOSHOCTON – On May 11 at approximately 3:39 p.m., detectives from the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant in the 300 block of Pine Street in the City of Coshocton near a local day care facility.

As a result of this search warrant, a large amount of drugs and drug related items were seized and two adults, one male and one female, were taken into custody.

On May 12, the male, Dale R. Smith, 59-years-old and from the Coshocton area, was formally charged with aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony of the second degree. The female was released pending the outcome of this ongoing investigation.

Assisting the detectives were members of the Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team (SRT) and The Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office.

This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
