Sheriff’s Office Morning Report for January 2, 2014

On January 1 the Sheriff’s Office investigated one accident and six complaints.

Accidents

– DANIEL K SNODGRASS OF NEWARK WAS PULLING FROM A HAUL ROAD ONTO SR 83 IN FRANKLIN TWP WHEN HE FAILED TO YIELD THE RIGHT OF WAY AND STRUCK THE VEHICLE DRIVEN BY LARRY R ERMAN OF COSHOCTON. MR ERMAN’S VEHICLE ROLLED ONTO ITS TOP AND THEN STRUCK A FENCE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED FROM THIS  ACCIDENT.

Complaints

– CHARLES E DRESSLER OF WINDSOR MILL, MARYLAND WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH OVI, OVI LOW TEST, AND ONE HEADLIGHT.

– A TRAFFIC STOP WAS ATTEMPTED ON A VEHICLE THAT WAS DRIVING WITH EXCESSIVE SPEED. THE VEHICLE INTIALLY DID NOT STOP. WHEN THE VEHICLE DID STOP, THE DRIVER JENNIFER L BODY OF COLUMBUS, WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. AFTER FURTHER INVESTIGATION, MS BODY WAS CHARGED WITH OVI, FAILURE TO STOP FOR THE LAWFUL SIGNAL OF A PEACE OFFICER, DRIVING THE WRONG DIRECTION ON A ONE WAY ROAD, EXCESSIVE AND UNREASONABLE SPEED, AND NO VALID LICENSE PLATES.

– SEVERAL SIGNS, YARDS, AND MAILBOXES WERE VANDALIZED IN THE RIVER VIEW HIGH SCHOOL AREA.

– AUSTIN R DAUGHERTY OF WALHONDING WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH DISORDERLY CONDUCT.

– BRADLEY D BOYER OF DRESDEN REPORTED HIS HOME WAS BURGLARIZED.

– DARRELL K CONKLE OF COSHOCTON REPORTED HIS HOME WAS BURGLARIZED.
