Somers injured in Sept. 30 accident

On Sept. 30, 2020 at approximately 6:08 a.m. the sheriff’s office received a 911 call in reference to a single vehicle accident with injuries in the area of SR 83 and SR 643.

Upon arrival of deputies it was determined that 58-year-old David Somers of Coshocton, was driving his 1999 Chevy truck southbound on SR 83. The vehicle then went off the left side of the roadway at the intersection of SR 643. The vehicle struck an embankment and continued striking a phone box, fence and a building.

Mr. Somers was then transported to Coshocton Regional Medical Center and then flown from the hospital by Med. Flight to Grant Hospital in Columbus.

Assisting at the scene was Three Rivers Fire Department, Coshocton County EMS and Med Flight, REACT and Princes Wrecker Service.  This incident remains under investigation by your Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office.
