McVay099COSHOCTON- Terry Gene McVay, 55, of US 36, died Friday Dec. 6, 2013 of natural causes while deer hunting with family and friends.

He was born Feb. 13, 1958 in Coshocton to the late Earl J. and Wynona Mae Carolyn (McClain) McVay.  He was a 1976 graduate of River View High School, and served in the U.S. Army from 1976-1982.  He worked in the oil & gas industry exploring for new reserves to be drilled.  He was a member of the AmVets, the V.F.W., and was an avid hunter and fisherman.  He loved to tinker with guns and sharpen knives.  He was a good father and cared for all of his family.  He was always sure to say “I love you” to all those close to him.  He will be remembered for his boisterous laugh.

He is survived by his three sons; Lucas McVay of Galloway, Ean McVay of Columbus, and Andrew McVay of Millersburg, a brother, Tracy McVay of Warsaw, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters; Julie & Jody McVay, and his grandparents; Wesley & Mary (Taylor) McVay and Clarence & Verna (Shepard) McClain.
