Trees dedicated in memory of Jack Baumgardner

| July 9, 2013

COSHOCTON – Four apple trees were dedicated July 9 at Roscoe Village in memory of the late Jack Baumgardner,  a long time employee of Roscoe Village who also portrayed Johnny Appleseed at events.

The trees were planted behind the Visitor Center. Two of them are Rambo Apples, a variety that Johnny Appleseed would have shared on his journey across the states.

About the Author ()

I started my journalism career in 2002 with a daily newspaper chain. After various stops with them, I am happy to be back home! I graduated from Coshocton High School in 1998 and received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication in 2002 from Walsh University. I also earned several awards while working for daily papers, including being honored by Coshocton County’s veterans for the stories I wrote about them. I am honored and ready to once again shine a positive light on Coshocton County. I also am the proud mother of a little girl named Sophia!

  1. Fitting tribute to a great guy! He always asked about my kids by name. Jack was one of those guys who will always be remembered. Miss both him and his beautiful wife Gertie. Just a super couple.
