Wendell ‘Joe’ Erette Mitchell

Wendell “Joe” Errette Mitchell, 85, of Conesville, Ohio passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Signature HealthCare in Coshocton. He was born in Murray City, Ohio on February 16, 1936, to the late Robert M. Mitchell and Susanna Lanning. On May 7, 1960, he married Sandra Kay (Wilden) Mitchell, who survives. He served in the Army from 1958 – 1960 and retired from Pretty Products. Inc. in Coshocton. He was a lifelong member of the Coshocton County Sportsmen’s Club and enjoyed fishing, telling jokes and spending time with his family.

Surviving are daughters, Ann (Steve) Lauvray of Fresno and Michelle Stipes of Coshocton; sons, Jay Mitchell, Mark Mitchell and Tom Mitchell all of Coshocton; 5 grandchildren, Matthew Lauvray, Kayla (Jordan) Marcincavage, Cory (Ashley) Barnett, Kristin (Brandon) Wesney and Hunter Stipes; 10 great-grandchildren, Tanner Marcincavage, Paisley, Brantley and Lynley Barnett, Mady Cramblett, Brady Barnett, Kyndal, Kylan, Easton and Emmy Wesney; brother-in-law, Leroy (Juanita) Wilden and sisters-in-law, Annabelle Mitchell and Vicki Mitchell.

Wendell is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Walter, Jim, Bob, Lawrence, Pearl, Richard, Kenny, and David Mitchell; sisters, Agnes Reyzek, Ioda Bissinger, Wanda Mitchell and Mary Lou Mitchell.

Calling hours will be held at the Miller Funeral Home on Saturday, January 29, 2022, from 11am to 1pm with the funeral service beginning at 1pm with Reverend Phillip Wilden officiating. Burial will follow at Franklin Cemetery in Coshocton.
