West Lafayette Police Department to host community carnival

| July 13, 2017

WEST LAFAYETTE – The community is invited to a carnival hosted by the West Lafayette Police Department on Saturday, July 15 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Burt Park. This is the second year for the carnival and Police Chief Stephen Klopfenstein said it’s a way for the department to give back to the community and interact with the residents.

The carnival is geared toward children ages 3 to 12 and will have an inflatable bounce house, popcorn, snow cones, games, prizes, a police car on display, and music and a photo booth by BKH Events. The prizes will include items that appeal to boys and girls of all ages present.

“We had a nice turn out last year,” said Klopfenstein. “It gives the police department a way to communicate with parents and children. Instead of driving around in the cruiser and waving, this way is more one-on-one and more personal.”

The event is free to the public and everyone is invited to come.
