William “Bill” Jones

COSHOCTON – William “Bill” Jones, 70, of Coshocton passed away at his home on Saturday September 2, 2017 surrounded by his family and friends.  Bill was born in Coshocton on March 19, 1947 to the late William R. Jones and Eileen (Mills) Thornsley.

He attended Three Rivers High School in Roscoe and retired as a electrician with the I.B.E.W. Local Union #1105.  He was also a member of the Coshocton Eagles Lodge.  Bill cherished and loved spending time with his family and friends and the outdoors.

On June 18, 1965 he married Kay (Whiteus) Jones who survives.  Along with his wife Kay of 52 years he is survived by two sons Bill Jones of Plainfield and Troy (Wendy) Jones of Coshocton; two daughters Theresa (Jeff) Walker of Napoleon, OH and Leslie (Wayne) McCloy of West Lafayette; eleven grandchildren; two great grandchildren and one great grandchild on the way; two brothers Joe (Susan Wolford) Jones of Granville and Ben (Cathy) Jones of Coshocton; two sisters Becky Stiteler and Ora (Steve) Strasser of Coshocton; brother in law Dick Thomas of Coshocton; several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Bonnie Thomas and brother in law Ed Stiteler.

A graveside funeral service will be held in South Lawn Cemetery on Tuesday September 5, 2017 at 1:00 PM.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Community Hospice of Coshocton, envelopes will be available at the cemetery.
