Wilma Jean Hostetter

COSHOCTON – Wilma Jean Hostetter, 82, of Coshocton passed away at Signature Health Care of Coshocton on Wednesday December 13, 2017.

Jean was born in Zanesville on April 2, 1935 to the late Wallace and Wenona (Layne) Hostetter.

She graduated from Lash High School in Zanesville had retired from Essex in Zanesville.  In her earlier years, she enjoyed clogging and was a member of the Sweet Adelines Club. Jean also enjoyed watching her sons play softball and spending time with her family and friends.

Jean is survived by her four sons Doug (Lori) Grissett of Lorre City, Ohio, Scott (Pam) Grissett of Coshocton, Todd (Debbie) Grissett of Nashport and Derek (Candy) Hostetter of Coshocton; 14 grandchildren Christie (John) Rome, Misty Pollock, Ellie Pollock, Jessica (Josh) May, Amanda Grissett, Melissa (Jimmie) McMillan, Kimberly (Trevor) Starling, Matt (Nicki) Untied, Melissa (Brent) Markley, Amanda (Jacob) Preston, Chasity Grissett, Wesley Grissett, Jessie (Austin) Dickerson and Shelbie Carnes; 28 great grandchildren; one sister Sandy (Jeff) Smith of Florida.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Harold Victor “Vic” Hostetter; one sister Phyllis Brister; and her two favorite feline companions Mama Kitty and Flash.

Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Monday December 18, 2017 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM where a memorial service for Jean will begin at 8:00 PM with Chad Olinger officiating.

Burial of Jean’s cremated remains will take place at a later date.
